This morning, I was invited to witness the Sports Day event of Grades 1 and 2. All the students were geared up to put up their best show, be it Taekwondo, Yoga, Skating, or dribbling skills of Basketball. What surprised me and caught my complete attention was the Football match. I was amazed and intrigued by the players’ spontaneity, speed of decision-making, spatial sense, and the goalkeeper’s presence of mind and lightning-fast reflexes to save goals for the team. The striker was persistent and optimized every opportunity to attempt securing a goal. I barely remember participating in lemon and spoon races when I was 7 years old. I stayed glued to the action and even rescheduled my meeting to watch it till the end! If I were to encapsulate my experience of the game, I’d say their zest, resilience, and perseverance are heartwarming and inspiring!
